Velligan-Blaxall Consultants, LLC

Hugh Blaxall is the President of Velligan-Blaxall Consultants, LLC. In this capacity, he serves the firm’s client base and oversees the marketing and strategic planning for VBC. He has spoken on Asset/Liability topics to various ALCO committees and also at conferences at the local, regional and national level. He has also authored several articles for financial industry trade publications.

Prior to founding VBC, Hugh spent over seven years with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC where he reached the position of Vice President. He provided risk modeling and consulting for several community banks ranging from de-novos to asset sizes of over $10 billion.

From 1997 to 1999, Hugh reached the position of Senior Financial Analyst at Fleet Credit Card where his responsibilities included income and balance sheet forecasting and development and implementation of the Credit Card Model for interest rate risk measurement. From 1995 to 1997, Hugh worked for Advanta Corporation as Treasury Liaison where he was responsible for implementing funds transfer pricing and interest rate risk modeling for credit cards. Earlier experience included working for CoreStates Financial Corporation in the Asset/Liability Management department where his responsibilities included financial and statistical analysis. He received his M.S. in Economics from Wye College, University of London and his M.A. in Economics with Honors at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Hugh is married and a father of three. Hugh resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania where he lives on the farm originally owned by his wife's grandfather. In his free time, Hugh enjoys tending to the land, reading, painting and keeping bees. He also is an active runner.
