Mark Calnon is a Managing Director at VBC. Mark leads the firm’s statistical and econometric practice supporting client engagements in the areas of model validations, fair lending analysis, stress testing and default / charge off analysis. For over 30 years Mark’s professional experience has blended analytical work products with strategic and public policy advocacy. Mark’s common-sense data driven approach to econometric analysis has provided invaluable insight to the strategic planning efforts of hundreds of Institutions.

Prior to joining VBC, Mark worked in the financial, telecom and energy sectors. He has extensive domestic and international experience in the areas of pricing, economic and statistical analysis, econometric modeling and regulatory policy analysis and advocacy. Mark has provided expert testimony before state and federal regulatory agencies in over 40 proceedings.

Mark received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
