Michael McLaughlin is a Managing Director of Financial Crimes Consulting Services at VBC. Mike performs institution specific and customized Financial Crimes related consulting engagements, including BSA/AML, OFAC and Fraud. He also provides advisory services on regulatory compliance, model implementation and model usage.

Prior to joining VBC, Mike was a manager at a regional accounting firm where he provided BSA/AML and consumer compliance services to financial institutions. He was responsible for the supervision and performance of BSA/AML related engagements. Mike also served in the BSA Officer role of a multibillion-dollar financial institution. With a background as a BSA Officer, Compliance Officer and a risk management specialist, he has extensive experience with a variety of BSA/AML models and solutions.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University and the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certifications.
